The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced upcoming weather changes, with forecasts of widespread rainfall in several Indian states. While Northeast India will continue to see light rainfall, other regions like East, Central, Northwest, and South Peninsular India will experience varied conditions including intense scattered rain. The forecast also includes the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. In addition, a heatwave is expected in Northwest and Central India, particularly in Rajasthan. These weather patterns are influenced by the presence of a Western Disturbance and an upper cyclonic circulation. Travelers to the foothills of Himachal and Uttarakhand can also expect light to moderate showers. Residents in areas like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, Kolkata, Chennai, Assam, and Odisha should stay updated on local forecasts due to the potential for rain-related traffic disruptions. Detailed weather updates are available for June 7th.
