A tweet by Elon Musk concerning Donald Trump and the Epstein files was deleted following a public dispute between the two prominent figures. Musk had previously suggested that Trump’s presence in the Epstein files was the reason for their non-release.
Musk had recently resigned from his role as a special government employee with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), citing business priorities.
Musk’s discontent reportedly stemmed from Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
Musk’s since-deleted tweet read, “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
Later, Musk suggested a possible reconciliation in response to a post from American Fund Manager Bill Ackman. Ackman stated, “I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country. We are much stronger together than apart.” Musk responded, “You’s are not wrong.”
Trump and Musk had a public disagreement on a new bill, leading to critical comments and allegations exchanged on social media.
This feud intensified when Musk made serious allegations regarding Trump’s connection to Jeffrey Epstein, escalating their personal conflict. The feud between the two men got nastier, less than a week after Musk officially left his position spearheading the quasi-official Department of Government Efficiency.
US Vice President JD Vance expressed his support for Trump during the public disagreement.
In a post on X, Vance wrote, “President Trump has done more than any person in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I’m proud to stand beside him.”
