A passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru experienced an unfortunate situation, finding themselves stuck inside the aircraft’s lavatory for the entire flight. The airline issued an apology and, according to reports, offered a refund to the affected passenger. The incident, which happened in mid-air, has left many in disbelief. The passenger was eventually freed after the flight landed in Bengaluru. Ground staff and engineers were able to open the locked toilet door. The event occurred on Monday night. The Mumbai-Bengaluru flight was delayed, departing from Mumbai at 2:10 AM instead of the scheduled 10:55 PM. The passenger, occupying seat 14D, entered the restroom shortly after takeoff and found themselves trapped due to a malfunctioning door lock. The crew, unable to unlock the door, came up with a creative solution to reassure the passenger. A handwritten note was passed under the door, asking the passenger to stay calm and remain on the toilet seat until the plane landed in Bengaluru. The note and the unusual circumstances quickly spread on social media, causing amusement among many users. The flight landed in Bengaluru at approximately 3:45 AM. Airport engineers then successfully opened the door. The airline expressed regret over the incident and issued an apology to the passenger for the inconvenience.
