Dr. Kushwaha Sashibhushan Mehta, the BJP MLA representing Panki in Jharkhand, registered a protest at the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi following denial of a room he had reserved. Despite having confirmed bookings for two rooms, he was told upon arrival that only one room was available. In response, the MLA demanded to know who was occupying the other rooms, questioning whether other Jharkhand MLAs or ministers were staying there, but the authorities failed to provide a suitable explanation. Displaying his dissatisfaction, the BJP MLA sat on the floor at the reception and ate his breakfast. He criticized the current state of affairs at the Jharkhand Bhawan and has appealed to Chief Minister Hemant Soren to rectify the situation and take necessary actions to ensure that the building is accessible to the MLAs from Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Bhawan is a state-of-the-art, seven-story building constructed in Delhi in September 2024. The building consists of 50 guest rooms, and VIP suites.
