Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the ODI series to see Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in action. The Indian team is set to play a 3-match ODI series against Bangladesh starting August 17, 2025. But all eyes are on the October tour for a 3-match ODI series in Australia. Cricket Australia has plans to give a special farewell to the Indian batsmen as the series may be their last in the ODI format.
Todd Greenberg, CEO of Cricket Australia, expressed the significance, “This might be the last time that we get to see Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma play in our country. And if that is the case, we wanna make sure we give them a great send-off and a reflection of the incredible contribution they have made to international cricket.”
Rohit Sharma, who debuted for India on June 23, 2007, against Ireland, has a remarkable record against Australia, scoring 2407 runs in 46 matches with an average of over 57 and a strike rate of 96.01. Virat Kohli, who debuted in 2008 against Sri Lanka, has scored 2232 runs in 30 appearances against Australia, averaging 43.76.
