A man in Gumla, Jharkhand, created a tense situation by climbing a mobile tower and threatening self-harm after a family dispute. The incident, which took place in the village of Kotam, saw Ritesh Kumar Singh, approximately 25 years old, ascend the 100-foot structure following an argument with his father and brother over property inheritance. After a heated exchange that included physical violence against his wife, Ritesh climbed the tower, prompting the arrival of the police. After a prolonged negotiation lasting over three hours, the authorities managed to convince him to come down, though he sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. This incident bears similarities to a 2023 case in Ranchi, where an individual climbed a high-tension tower due to a family disagreement.
