The Pendra district administration has responded decisively to shortcomings in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Rajkumar Sharma, the secretary of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat, has been suspended due to negligence and a lack of commitment. Moreover, Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has been issued a show-cause notice. Additionally, instructions have been given to transfer the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat with immediate effect. These actions were taken on the orders of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid. He has unequivocally stated that any form of negligence in government initiatives will not be tolerated. Vaid has warned all panchayat employees, stressing that strict measures will be pursued against those who impede the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a crucial program. The administration’s stern approach has generated a wave of activity within the panchayats, with other panchayats being directed to execute the schemes in a timely and transparent manner.
