The Pendra district administration has adopted a firm stance on the inadequate implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana within the Pendra development block. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended due to demonstrated negligence and lack of responsibility. Concurrently, Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has received a show-cause notice.
Additionally, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been ordered to be transferred immediately. This series of actions follows the directives of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidya. CEO Vaidya has made it clear that any neglect in government initiatives will not be accepted. He has also issued a warning to all panchayat staff, stating that strict action will be taken against individuals who impede the progress of significant schemes like the PM Awas Yojana.
The administration’s decisive approach has created a sense of urgency within the panchayats, with all remaining panchayats instructed to ensure schemes are implemented efficiently and transparently.
