
A gun battle in Barkhan, Balochistan, claimed the lives of four Baloch fighters on Friday. The fighting erupted in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil and involved a pro-government armed group. Residents reported the use of heavy weapons during the clash. The deceased individuals have been identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Their remains were moved to a hospital in Rakni. The opposing group is alleged to be a state-backed militia. The Pakistani government has yet to comment on the incident. Meanwhile, heavy fighting was also reported in the Spilinji area of Mastung district following a Pakistani military operation. Intense gunfire and explosions were heard, and casualties were reported. The precise number of casualties is not yet known. The events highlight the volatile situation in Balochistan, where conflict between Baloch groups and state forces persists.
