In Balochistan’s Barkhan district, a gun battle between Baloch fighters and a ‘state-backed’ armed group resulted in the deaths of four individuals. The clash in the Koh-e-Jandar area of Rakni tehsil saw extensive use of heavy weaponry. The deceased were identified as Mustafa Noor, Samiullah, Rasaan Qadir, and Shahzaib. Concurrently, Pakistani forces initiated a military operation in the Spilinji area of Mastung district, resulting in intense fighting. The number of casualties from this operation is currently unknown. The incidents highlight the ongoing conflict between Baloch nationalist groups and state forces, contributing to the instability in the region.
