Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, was involved in a close call on Saturday morning when a truck struck his convoy in Vaishali district. The incident occurred near Goraul on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway while Yadav was returning to Patna from a political event in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a short break around 12:30 AM. While Yadav was away from his vehicle, a speeding truck crashed into two of his security vehicles. Three security personnel were injured and received immediate medical attention. The truck driver was taken into custody, and an investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the accident. This incident has raised concerns about the security of political figures and the need for improved road safety in Bihar, especially during late-night travel. RJD members have expressed relief that Yadav was unharmed and are demanding a comprehensive review of security procedures.
