
The Sukma district of Chhattisgarh was hit by a Naxal-planted IED blast, resulting in the martyrdom of ASP Akash Rao Giripunje. The SDOP and the police station in-charge sustained severe injuries. He condemned the attack and extended his support to the injured, ensuring they receive the best possible treatment. The CM stated that the government is committed to eradicating Naxalism in Chhattisgarh, and the recent successes of security forces have prompted these desperate acts by Naxalites. He affirmed the government’s unwavering support for the martyr’s family. ASP Giripunje’s bravery was recognized with a Gallantry Award, and his loss is deeply felt by the Chhattisgarh police. The state has heightened security measures, increased search operations, and is providing advanced medical care to the injured officers.
