Scientists in Chhattisgarh have made a groundbreaking discovery with the potential to change the landscape of cancer treatment. Research at the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University suggests that a special rice variety, known as ‘Sanjeevani,’ can effectively target and eliminate cancer cells. This rice, originating from the Bastar region, is being hailed as a possible solution to treat cancer without surgery or radiation. The rice contains 213 types of biochemicals, including seven compounds that act as cancer-fighting agents. Trials are expected to begin soon at the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, bringing a new hope to cancer patients.
