The ‘dusting’ trend, also referred to as ‘huffing’ or ‘chroming,’ is known for its potential to cause heart failure and other serious health complications. Renna’s mother emphasized the ease with which children can access these substances and the devastating consequences that can result. The family is now actively working to raise awareness about the deadly nature of ‘dusting,’ advocating for parental vigilance and support. In a related incident, a boy in the UK died in March 2024 after inhaling toxic substances.
