
Chhattisgarh is anticipating relief from the oppressive heat and humidity. The state has been experiencing a prolonged dry spell, affecting people, animals, and plant life. Cattle are struggling to find water, and the lack of rain has impacted vegetable production.
The weather department indicates changes in the next two days. Conditions are becoming conducive for the southwest monsoon to advance into the southern parts of the state. Thunderstorms and strong winds, along with rain, are predicted in several areas on June 14 and 15.
On June 11, Bilaspur recorded a high of 37.5 degrees Celsius, which was 2.3 degrees below the average. Bilaspur also experienced the highest temperature in the state.
If the prediction holds true, farmers, livestock, and the public can anticipate relief from the heat in the near future.
