Kia is gearing up to refresh the Seltos, following the recent launch of the Kia Carens Clavis. Spy shots of the Seltos facelift have been circulating, giving a glimpse of the upcoming changes. The test vehicles, caught in India, were camouflaged, but the new headlights and changes to the front fascia are visible. The updated Seltos is expected to launch early next year.
Exterior design updates include design cues from the EV9 and Syros. The test vehicle featured an extended wheelbase. Key changes include a concave grill between the headlights, and revised fog light housings. The rear is also expected to get a redesign, potentially with a continuous bar light. Interior updates are also in the pipeline, with design elements borrowed from other Kia models.
The engine options are expected to be carried over, including a 115Hp 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 160Hp 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, and a 116Hp 1.5-liter diesel engine. There are also indications that a new hybrid powertrain will be added. The 1.5-liter NA petrol engine may be electrified. The refreshed Seltos will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Curvv.
