The Chhattisgarh Police Department is set to implement a major linguistic reform by replacing 109 Urdu-Persian words with Hindi in its written documentation and legal proceedings. The decision, conveyed through a circular from the DGP to all district SPs, marks a substantial shift in the language used by the police force. This change is intended to simplify and standardize the language used in official police work. The transition will encompass all forms of written communication, from daily reports to court documents, ensuring that Hindi is consistently used throughout the department. This initiative aims to increase clarity and streamline communication.
