Label Nobo, the fashion brand launched by Nupur Sanon, sister of Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, is facing a wave of criticism. Social media users are expressing their discontent with the brand, accusing it of selling basic clothing items at exorbitant prices. Many feel that the pricing strategy is questionable.
Launched in 2024, Label Nobo, meaning ‘No boundaries,’ promises to offer ‘high-quality premium fabrics.’ It has been promoted by Kriti Sanon, Nupur Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana, among others.
However, the prices of the brand’s offerings have drawn significant negative attention. Dresses start at approximately Rs 7,000, with kurta sets priced as high as Rs 26,500. The brand’s Banarasi lehenga is priced at Rs 21,000. A set including a skirt and crop top is offered at Rs 20,000, while a set of shorts is sold for Rs 2,400.
Reddit users have been especially vocal in their critiques. One user wrote, “I think her brand name is incomplete cause she clearly forgot to write Label NoboDY IS BUYING THIS OVERPRICED FAST FASHION SHIT FROM ME.” Another commenter asked, “Who is going to buy at these prices even for her sister’s name?” Some users directly labeled the brand as a scam.
Other reactions include remarks like “Ridiculous,” and the ironic comment, “Rs 750 last price.” One user shared, “I have been to Jaipur and Jodhpur the past year and honestly, have found better patchwork jackets from local markets for less than Rs 1500.” Another stated, “Bhai yeh sab kapre Rajouri or Chandni Chowk mein dhakke khaa rhe hai. What even???” One harsh comment read, “These are the ugliest clothes I’ve ever seen, good lord.”
