In response to the ongoing security situation, the Indian Embassy in Tehran is actively working to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian students studying in Iran. The Embassy is continuously monitoring the situation, communicating with students, and offering support. Efforts include facilitating relocation to safer locations within Iran and considering other safety options, including potential evacuations. The Embassy is also coordinating with community leaders to address concerns. This follows a plea from PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, urging the Ministry of External Affairs to expedite the safe return of stranded Indian students. Israel has conducted strikes on Iranian targets, including weapons production sites.
