
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai lauded the Sen Samaj, recognizing their progressive nature and significant historical contributions to society. He emphasized their vital role in the overall progress and development of Chhattisgarh. Speaking at the Sen Samaj’s women district presidents and talent felicitation event in Raipur, Chief Minister Sai announced a financial grant of ₹20 lakh for a community building in Balod Nagar. The ceremony began with the Chief Minister paying respects to Sen Maharaj and lighting a lamp.
Chief Minister Sai highlighted the importance of education for societal transformation, particularly for women. He stated that educated women contribute to the welfare of their families, which strengthens society and the nation. The government views women as the foundation of nation-building. He also mentioned the achievements of various members of the Sen Samaj, including the late Shri Karpuri Thakur, and praised the community’s efforts to address social issues. He affirmed the government’s full support for the advancement of the Sen Samaj.
Chief Minister Sai also spoke about the government’s commitment to improving the financial standing of the state’s farmers and the implementation of various schemes designed to financially empower women. He cited the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which is part of Modi’s guarantee and benefits 70 lakh women in the state. This scheme is designed to give financial independence to women, enabling them to have a stronger role in their families and society.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sai discussed the central government’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative, which aims to improve the gender ratio, support girls’ education, and encourage a positive attitude towards women. He emphasized the importance of daughters and the government’s efforts to ensure their education and safety through this initiative. The event was also addressed by MLA Shri Purandar Mishra and Citizen Supplies Corporation Chairman Shri Sanjay Srivastava.
The event honored talented students, artists, and women social workers from the Sen Samaj with shawls and mementos. The event was attended by key figures, including Ms. Mona Sen, President of the Chhattisgarh State Hair Crafts Welfare Board, and Shri Puneet Sen, State President of the Chhattisgarh Sarva Sen Samaj, along with numerous community members.
