
With rising highway speeds, choosing a car with strong safety features is essential. This article highlights top car choices under 10 lakh rupees, focusing on their crash test performance. These vehicles have been assessed by safety organizations like Bharat NCAP to evaluate their ability to protect occupants in the event of a collision.
The KIA Syros, recently crash-tested, achieved a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. It performed well in both Adult and Child Occupant Protection categories. Scoring is out of 32 for Adult and 49 for Child Occupant Protection. The Syros scored approximately 30.21 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 44.42 for Child Occupant Protection.
The Syros also excelled in the side impact test, earning a perfect score. It also offers 16 autonomous safety features and 20 standard active and passive safety features.
The Tata Nexon, previously tested by Global NCAP, earned high marks for adult and child occupant safety, demonstrating Tata’s commitment to safety.
The new Vitara Brezza has not been tested. Its older version earned a 4-star rating for adult occupant safety and 2 stars for child occupant safety.
The Hyundai Venue, tested under ANCAP, received a 4-star rating for adult occupant safety.
The Mahindra 3XO received a 5-star crash rating, with impressive scores for both adult and child protection. Its safety features include 6 airbags and a 360-degree camera system.
The Skoda Kylaq is a leader in the subcompact SUV segment, offering high levels of protection. It performed exceptionally well in both frontal and side barrier tests.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire, equipped with 6 airbags, received a 5-star rating in both adult and child occupant safety. The Dzire offers a high level of safety.
The 6-airbag version of the Baleno earned around 4 stars for adult safety and around 3 stars for child safety. The car has front, side head curtain, side chest, and side pelvis airbags, along with ISOFIX seats.
