During a phone call with US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India’s position against any external mediation on the Kashmir issue, according to BJP MP Tejasvi Surya. Surya said that PM Modi made India’s stance clear to the world, underlining the unanimous political voice across all Indian parties on the matter. The conversation occurred on the sidelines of the G7 Summit. During the call, which lasted over half an hour, PM Modi updated President Trump on India’s Operation Sindoor and emphasized that India has consistently refused and will continue to refuse any mediation on issues concerning Pakistan. This was confirmed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. Misri also highlighted that the halt to military action was mutually agreed upon between India and Pakistan through established communication channels. The government has also stressed that these discussions did not involve the US-India trade deal or US mediation.
