Aamir Khan is making a bold statement with his decision to refuse a ₹120 crore offer from Amazon Prime Video for the OTT rights of ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ His goal is to encourage more people to visit cinemas and experience the magic of movies on the big screen. By declining such a lucrative deal, Khan hopes to counteract the trend of audiences preferring to watch films on streaming platforms soon after their theatrical release. ‘Sitaare Zameen Par,’ a spiritual successor to the hit film ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ is slated to release on June 20. The movie is a remake of the Spanish film ‘Campeones’ and features Aamir Khan alongside Genelia D’Souza and debut actors with special needs.
