
A man in Gumla district, Jharkhand, stands accused of killing his sister-in-law. The incident happened in the Ghaghra police station jurisdiction. The man requested ₹200 from his sister-in-law, Salma Lohrain, for purchasing chicken. When she declined, he attacked her, and she died on the spot. The accused then fled the scene.
The events unfolded in Gutwa Jokari village. The suspect, identified as Tejwa Lohra, was at his in-laws’ home. He was intoxicated and expressed a wish to eat chicken. He asked his sister-in-law, the wife of Samad Lohra, for ₹200. She refused, stating she didn’t have the money readily available. Angered by the denial, the man attacked her with a sharp weapon, causing her immediate death. The local police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused after the body was discovered by her husband upon his return.
