WhatsApp is working on a new AI-powered feature named ‘Writing Help,’ intended to enhance the quality of messages sent by users while ensuring complete privacy. This feature will be available in an upcoming update and will enable users to write messages that are better-toned, grammatically sound, and more concise, with the help of Meta AI processed through WhatsApp’s secure Private Processing system. Spotted in the latest WhatsApp beta on Android version 2.25.19.8, the feature aims to boost communication without infringing on user privacy. Following the pattern of its AI-based message summary feature, Writing Help will use encrypted processing to ensure that message data remains on the device and does not get transmitted to Meta servers. The update emphasizes the provision of advanced communication tools while safeguarding user privacy and control.
