The Consulate General of India in Vancouver has announced the death of Tanya Tyagi, an Indian student at the University of Calgary. The Consulate expressed its condolences and assured support for the family. The cause of death is currently unknown. An unconfirmed report on social media, posted by Ishu Tyagi, suggests she passed away on June 17th from a heart attack. The family has appealed to the PMO for assistance in bringing her remains back to India. Tanya’s LinkedIn profile reveals she was pursuing a Master’s degree in Food Safety and Quality. She had also worked in retail and as a quality assurance intern. This news comes after the recent death of Vanshika Saini, another Indian student, in Ottawa, highlighting the need for support and awareness for Indian students studying in Canada.
