Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition from the RJD party, strongly criticized the Nitish Kumar government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference. He expressed concerns over the recent occurrences in the state and the Prime Minister’s visit. Yadav criticized the government’s handling of the citizens’ suffering, stating that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has not visited the victims of recent incidents. Yadav also claimed that the Prime Minister’s event in Siwan was more of a political gathering rather than a governmental affair.
Furthermore, Yadav accused the Prime Minister’s speeches of being full of hollow words. He questioned what the central government has done for Bihar, specifically regarding job creation, improvements in education, and healthcare advancements. Yadav said that the central government only offered promises, which were never delivered. Yadav indicated that the public feels the BJP’s promises have been in vain. This press conference implies that the opposition is preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the RJD focusing on issues such as unemployment, inflation, and the state of law and order.
Previously, Yadav declared that the Nitish Kumar government was under the control of the RSS and BJP. He alleged that appointments within the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) were made from the RSS. Yadav also alleged that Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and Muslims were facing injustice in the state. He pointed out that the RSS was the force behind actions such as the halting of 65% reservations, the denial of job opportunities to reserved categories, and the sidelining of officials from disadvantaged groups in administrative positions. The Chief Minister has yet to comment on these claims.
