Former RAW Chief Amarjit Singh Dulat has called for a meeting between Pakistan’s Army Chief, Asim Munir, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following Munir’s recent visit to the United States. Dulat, speaking in an exclusive interview, expressed his hope that this meeting could serve to thaw the strained relations between the two nations. Dulat congratulated Field Marshal Asim Munir and suggested a meeting at Hyderabad House, followed by a visit to Amritsar, expressing his belief that hardline positions could be softened. He noted that in 2015, Prime Minister Modi had visited Pakistan to attend the wedding of Nawaz Sharif’s granddaughter, indicating that such gestures can be reciprocated to foster goodwill. Dulat agreed that current relations are strained and hoped that dialogue between the leaders could pave the way for peace.
