International Yoga Day, observed on June 21, is celebrating its 11th anniversary. This year’s theme is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the celebrations in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, with an estimated 5 lakh people participating in a mass event along a 26-kilometer stretch from Ramakrishna Beach. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also partaking in a large-scale yoga demonstration at Adalaj Vav stepwell near Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The government of Andhra Pradesh reported that over 2 crore people will be involved in yoga events throughout the state today, with plans to establish a Guinness World Record by distributing more than 50 lakh yoga certificates.
