
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma participated in a state-level yoga event in Jaisalmer on International Yoga Day, acknowledging Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in promoting yoga globally. Sharma emphasized that the theme of Yoga Day, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ reflects the strong relationship between humans and the environment. He also mentioned that yoga represents the harmony between humans and nature while providing a holistic way to health and well-being. Sharma said that the state government is working towards improving individual and environmental health. He described yoga as a gift from Indian civilization, which unites the body, mind, intellect, and soul. Sharma also highlighted that yoga guides people towards a healthy life amidst stress, pollution, and irregular lifestyles. He pointed out that yoga has always been an integral part of India’s ancient culture. Sharma stated that PM Modi believes yoga leads from illness to wellness and from ‘I to we.’ The Chief Minister highlighted that PM Modi’s proposal at the UN led to the declaration of June 21 as International Yoga Day. He praised PM Modi for spreading Indian cultural values worldwide. He credited PM Modi for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath corridor revamp, construction of Mahakal Lok, and the Char Dham project. The Rajasthan government is also developing major religious sites. Sharma stated that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has become a spiritual, economic, and military power, mentioning Operation Sindoor and the plans to divert water from the Indus and Chenab rivers to Rajasthan.
