
The Deputy Chief Minister, Arun Sao, participated in a mass yoga session held at the Mungeli district headquarters to mark International Yoga Day on June 21, 2025. The event, organized under the theme “Yoga Sangam, Green Yoga,” took place at the Adarsh Agricultural Produce Market. He joined MLA Punnu Lal Mohle and district officials in performing various yoga asanas.
Speaking at the event, Arun Sao emphasized the significance of yoga for achieving a healthy, balanced, and disciplined life in today’s fast-paced world. He noted the growing interest in yoga and encouraged attendees to incorporate it into their daily routines for physical and mental health.
MLA Punnu Lal Mohle also spoke, highlighting the mental and physical benefits of yoga, and thanked the district administration for the successful organization of the event.
Key participants included Zila Panchayat President Shrikant Pandey, Collector Kundan Kumar, and other senior officials and students. The event concluded with a plantation drive under the “One Tree for Mother” campaign.
Arun Sao initiated the plantation by planting a Bahira sapling, promoting environmental awareness. Other dignitaries also participated in the plantation drive, encouraging the public to plant more trees as part of the environmental conservation efforts.
