A woman in Patna district, Bihar, attempted to frame her husband by taking a country-made pistol to the police station. Kiran Devi claimed she had taken the weapon from her husband, alleging he intended to use it against her. The police, however, quickly noticed inconsistencies in her account and initiated a thorough investigation. Devi’s husband, Jago Mahto, provided a contrasting perspective, stating that his wife’s behavior had become increasingly erratic and that she had been engaging in extramarital activities. Local residents corroborated Mahto’s claims, reporting that Devi would often be absent from home for days and would physically assault her husband. The investigation revealed that Devi’s home was frequented by male acquaintances, which led to disputes with her husband. Police believe that the woman conspired with a male friend to frame her husband. The police are trying to arrest the person who provided the weapon to her.
