An investigation is underway after a government school teacher in Himachal Pradesh was arrested amid allegations of sexual harassment involving 24 female students. The students, enrolled in Classes 8th to 10th, reported the incidents to the principal, describing inappropriate behavior from the teacher, particularly during a school program. The teacher was subsequently arrested and remanded to police custody for three days. Authorities have registered a case under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections, and the teacher has been suspended pending further investigation, with the Director of School Education overseeing the preliminary inquiry.
