A significant fire erupted on the set of the television show ‘Anupamaa’ in Mumbai’s Film City early Monday morning. The incident, which took place in Goregaon East, was reported to the fire department around 6:10 AM. The fire originated in the tent area of the set, causing substantial damage to equipment, including electrical wiring, cameras, costumes, and lighting. The affected area spanned approximately 5,000 square feet. The production company, Shahi Production, released a statement confirming the incident and emphasizing that there were no injuries. The production house asked the public to disregard any rumors and await official updates regarding the cause of the fire. Authorities are currently investigating the cause, especially as the set was not in use at the time and the main power was switched off. The producers and the entire cast and crew expressed their gratitude to the supporting industry members, peers, and well-wishers. The AICWA has requested a high-level judicial inquiry into the incident.
