With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, the Election Commission of India has launched a special intensive revision of the voter list. The process, starting June 25th, aims to ensure all eligible citizens are registered and ineligible names are removed. BLOs will be conducting a comprehensive door-to-door survey.
The ECI has set a timetable that includes accepting applications for additions, deletions, and modifications to the voter list until July 26th. A draft voter list will be available in August, followed by a period to raise objections. The final voter list is scheduled to be published on September 30th. The goal is to create a transparent and accurate voter list.
