
The Axiom-4 mission is poised to launch, carrying a crew of four to the International Space Station. Launch preparations are complete, with the Dragon spacecraft’s hatch secured and all pre-flight checks finished. The launch is scheduled for June 25 at 2:31 am EDT (Noon IST) from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, utilizing a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft. The docking is planned for June 26. The crew includes Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Polish astronaut Slawosz Uznanski, Hungarian astronaut Tibor Kapu, and veteran astronaut Peggy Whitson as commander. The mission is particularly significant as it marks the return of India, Poland, and Hungary to human spaceflight after many years. The mission will enable these nations to advance their space programs. The mission will conduct around 60 scientific studies and activities, including various disciplines of research, highlighting international collaboration.
