
As the Axiom-4 mission soared into space from the Kennedy Space Center, the family of Group Captain Subhanshu Shukla celebrated the event with great pride. Shukla, the astronaut piloting the mission, had his family watching the launch from Lucknow. They expressed their happiness and wished for his secure return. His sister, Shuchi Mishra, expressed her excitement and desire for his safe return. Nidhi Mishra, another sister, hoped the mission will be a success. Their mother, Asha Shukla, was moved to tears of joy and his father, Shambhu Dayal Shukla, expressed gratitude. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft carried the mission from Launch Complex 39A. Shukla, from the Dragon spacecraft, sent greetings to his fellow Indians and emphasized the significance of his journey. He framed it as a step toward India’s Human Space Programme, urging everyone to share in the pride. The mission has connections to the previous Indian space flights like that of Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma. The crew aims to dock at the International Space Station on June 26.
