The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Majhi, has issued a welcoming message to the devotees and pilgrims arriving in Puri for the Rath Yatra, which begins on June 27th. He urged everyone to participate with devotion and witness the deities on the chariots. Former CM Naveen Patnaik, currently hospitalized, also sent his best wishes for the festival. The authorities in Puri, along with the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), have made extensive preparations to ensure the smooth execution of the Rath Yatra. The chariots have been moved to Singhadwar. The Nabajouban Darshan has already taken place, and final preparations are underway. Security is a top priority, with the presence of the NSG and other measures in place, overseen by the Puri Collector Siddharth Swain. The police are expecting large crowds and have implemented comprehensive plans for public safety, crowd management, and traffic control, as stated by SP Vineet Agarwal.
