A gruesome murder has shocked Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where a student was found dead after being tortured. His face was also disfigured with acid. The body of Abhishek Kumar, a 21-year-old who had been missing from Ahiaur’s Zero Mile for two days, was discovered in the Budhi Gandak river near Motipur on Wednesday. The victim’s hands and feet were bound, and his nails were forcibly removed. The Ahiaur police, with the help of the Motipur police, retrieved the body from Kodariya Ghat, located near Moresandi village, and sent it to SKMCH for a post-mortem. Reports indicate that the deceased had lent five lakh rupees to a friend. The Ahiaur police confirmed that the student had been missing for two days, and his father had filed a missing person report at the police station. It was revealed that Abhishek’s hands and feet were tied behind his back with rope, his nails were removed, and he had deep wounds on his neck. Authorities believe that the body was disposed of in the river after the murder. According to Ahiaur police station in-charge Rohan Kumar, the perpetrators used acid to burn the victim’s face to prevent identification. Abhishek’s father, Vinod Rai, a resident of Rajepur in East Champaran, filed an FIR on Tuesday, accusing 12 individuals, including his son’s friend and the friend’s family, of being involved in the murder. Vinod Rai stated that he last spoke to his son, Abhishek, on the night of June 23. When he couldn’t reach him the next day, he contacted Nitish, who said that Ayush had taken Abhishek to a party the night before, and he hadn’t returned. A case was filed at the police station on June 24. It is alleged that Ayush had borrowed five lakh rupees from Abhishek for a hotel venture. Vinod Rai alleged that when he pressured Ayush to repay the loan, Ayush plotted to murder Abhishek. He took him to a hotel, fed him, and then, with the help of his accomplices, brutally murdered him and dumped the body in the river. The discovery of the body brought immense grief to the family. Ahiaur police reiterated that the student had been missing for two days and that his father had filed a complaint. The investigation confirmed that Abhishek’s hands and feet were tied, nails were removed, and he had deep injuries on his neck. City DSC-2 Vineeta Sinha confirmed that a student had been brutally murdered and that the police are investigating the case based on the father’s complaint and the family’s statements.
