Bihar’s government is actively working to boost self-employment among its youth. The Chief Minister Gram Parivahan Yojana is playing a vital role in uplifting young people in rural areas. The scheme, now in its 11th phase, has seen over 3,500 applications from youth belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Extremely Backward Classes for vehicle purchases. Nearly 900 individuals have already acquired vehicles, with ongoing support for the remaining applicants. Since its launch in 2018, the program has set a goal of facilitating the purchase of 55,000 vehicles. The government is providing financial aid to help beneficiaries purchase vehicles, including e-rickshaws and other passenger vehicles. Subsidies are directly deposited into beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
