In a pointed commentary, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi targeted Israel, using the phrase ‘Daddy’ to describe the U.S.’s role in supporting the nation after the Iranian missile attack. Araghchi took to X to state that ‘the Israeli regime had NO CHOICE but to RUN to “Daddy” to avoid being flattened by our Missiles.’
Furthermore, Araghchi cautioned the United States, suggesting that a deal would not be possible if the U.S. were to continue disrespecting Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. Araghchi underscored Iran’s dedication to its sovereignty, indicating the nation’s unwillingness to bow to external pressures or insults. He also stated that Iran would reveal its true capabilities if provoked by threats.
These remarks followed a social media post by former U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he accused Khamenei of lying about the war’s outcome and claimed to have saved the Supreme Leader from death. Trump also suggested upcoming talks between Iran and the U.S., and declared that the Middle East war was over.
