Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with the title of ‘Dharma Chakravarti’ at the centenary celebrations of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyanand Ji Maharaj. During the event, PM Modi humbly accepted the title, viewing it as a blessing to be dedicated to the nation. The celebrations mark the beginning of a year-long national tribute, organized by the Union Culture Ministry in partnership with the Bhagwan Mahaveer Ahimsa Bharti Trust. The day was also significant as it marked the date in 1987 when Acharya Vidyanand Muniraj received his title, connecting Jain culture to ideals of restraint and compassion. Commemorative postage stamps were launched during the event. PM Modi highlighted India’s enduring cultural heritage, which he attributed to the timeless ideas and philosophies of its sages and saints. The centenary year will feature a range of initiatives, including cultural, literary, and educational programs, to celebrate the life and legacy of Acharya Shri 108 Vidyanand Ji Maharaj. These initiatives will promote community engagement, youth participation, and interfaith dialogue to ensure his message continues to inspire future generations.
