A catastrophic traffic jam, stretching for 32 hours, has brought the Indore-Dewas route of the Agra-Mumbai National Highway to a standstill, tragically resulting in three deaths. The jam, covering a distance of approximately 8 kilometers, was triggered by the construction of an overbridge and a service road diversion close to Arjun Baroda. Heavy rainfall contributed to the crisis by creating large potholes on the service road. The deceased include Kamal Panchal, Balram Patel, and Sandeep Patel. Kamal Panchal, after being trapped in the jam for around an hour and a half, lost consciousness and was later confirmed dead at a hospital in Dewas. Balram Patel and Sandeep Patel experienced fatal heart attacks. In response, the National Highway Authority (NHAI) is accelerating service road construction, and alternative routes are being utilized for traffic heading from Dewas to Indore.
