Odisha is bracing for a spell of intense rainfall as the IMD has issued a red warning for several districts due to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and Balasore are under the highest alert, with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds expected. Other areas will also experience heavy rainfall. The monsoon is active, contributing to the anticipated heavy rainfall, which is expected to continue throughout the week. The forecast details the intensity and location of the expected rain through July 5th, with orange and yellow warnings in effect for various districts. The IMD expects an increase in rainfall activity between July 6 and July 9.
