Varun Dhawan has publicly criticized the media’s approach to covering the death of actress Shefali Jariwala, specifically condemning the focus on capturing the grief of her family and friends. Using his Instagram platform, Dhawan appealed for ‘sensitivity’ and ‘respect’ from the media, questioning the necessity of documenting such private moments of sorrow. His statement was a reaction to the extensive media coverage of Jariwala’s funeral, which showed her husband, Parag Tyagi, and other relatives in deep distress. Following the funeral, Parag Tyagi requested privacy. Shefali Jariwala passed away late Friday night. She was taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai but was pronounced dead on arrival. While preliminary reports indicated a possible cardiac arrest, the definitive cause of death has not yet been confirmed. Jariwala had a presence in the entertainment industry, with a role in the film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and appearances on reality shows, including ‘Bigg Boss 13’ and ‘Nach Baliye,’ where she competed with her husband, Parag Tyagi.
