Consumers in Chhattisgarh will benefit from an extended deadline for the distribution of their three-month ration. The government has announced that the distribution will now continue until July 7th, offering much-needed relief.
The distribution of rations for June, July, and August is being conducted concurrently. This approach, although intended to streamline the process, has led to increased congestion at ration shops. Both consumers and shopkeepers have expressed challenges related to the distribution, including time constraints and the ability to serve a large number of people efficiently. Recognizing these difficulties, the government has responded to consumer requests and extended the deadline.
Reports indicate that around 75-80% of the ration had been distributed by the end of June. The extension aims to enable the remaining beneficiaries to collect their rations. The government hopes that this decision will ensure that all eligible individuals receive their entitlements without any inconvenience.
