Royal Enfield has restarted sales of the Scram 440. The sales were previously suspended to address engine concerns. The core issue was identified as a faulty Woodruff key within the magneto, leading to difficulties in restarting the engine after it had been turned off. The Scram 440, which serves as a replacement for the older Scram 411, is powered by a 443 cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that delivers 25.4 bhp and 34Nm of torque, and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The model includes features such as switchable ABS and alloy wheels on the higher-spec versions. Limited availability is expected to be ramped up shortly.
