The husband, Rajesh Ghosh, is accused of forcing her into the sex trade, assaulting her, and confiscating her earnings. Despite her pleas, the police initially did not take action. A case of assault has now been registered against the husband, and authorities are investigating the matter. The woman had been taken to Indore and Gwalior where the abuse continued.
