
The Maiya Samman Yojana, a welfare scheme by the Jharkhand government, has delivered financial aid to women in Palamu. A total of 349,080 women have received funds in their bank accounts for the month of May. The total amount disbursed was 87.27 crore rupees, channeled through the treasury. Each beneficiary received 2500 rupees, which was credited to their accounts starting from Friday. Prior to this, the April installment was disbursed in June. The Women, Child Development and Social Security Department has allocated 559 crore rupees for the scheme, covering five months. The funds are being provided to beneficiaries whose bank accounts are linked with Aadhaar and have the DBT option enabled. During March, a three-month installment of 7500 rupees was provided to a large number of beneficiaries.
