A severe road accident in the Palamu district of Jharkhand resulted in the tragic deaths of three laborers and injuries to dozens more. The accident occurred on the NH-98 highway near Ramgarh, under the Chhatarpur police station. The vehicle involved was a pickup truck carrying more than 30 passengers, including men, women, and children. The laborers, who were headed to Karhagar village in Rohtas, Bihar, from the Ranka and Ramkanda police station areas of Garhwa district, were involved in the accident when the driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle. The injured were initially taken to a local hospital, with critical cases later transferred to Medininagar MMCH for specialized treatment. Adding to the distress, the MMCH experienced a power outage for approximately 40 minutes due to the absence of a generator operator, forcing medical staff to treat patients in the dark. Authorities are investigating the incident.
